Culture develops a sense of belongingness to every individual and also enabled him to identify himself to particular society. Culture literally means particular form of intellectual expression, understanding and appreciation of art, literature and music. This is the reason, VES aims to develop love for art, literature and music in the students. To fulfill this aim, “Sanskritik Niketan” was established and under the banner of ”Vivekini” different cultural programmes and competitions are organized every year.

  "CHAITANYA" a Bhajan singing competition was organized and large number of people of various aged participated in it. A programme was also organized on 12th January to commemorate Swami Vivekanand Jayanti and winners rendered melodious bhajans. The noted music director Naushadji graced the occasion.  

  "VASANTOTSAVA" a music and dance programme was organized by students of vivekini on 6th March, to celebrate Vasantapanchami. A large number of students from vocal, instrumental and dance class performed on the stage.

  "JAGRUTI", a group singing competition we held on 15th August and the theme was "PATRIOTISM". The Degree engineering students won the first prize in this competition.

  "TRADITIONAL DAY", the theme of this year’s Traditional Day celebration was ”THE RIVERS OF INDIA”. The main objective is to make the students familiar with the existence of numerous rivers in different states, and their contribution to our civilization and society.

"ANNUAL DAY" was held in the first week of march, the topic for which was based on the Importance of Water. The same event last year, conducted on the 11th of March, had the theme “Mumbai- Sapno ki Nagari”.

  The function was presided over by Mr. Manohar Joshi, Hon Speaker of the Lok Sabha. The immaculate coordination in the events especially in music and projections certainly left  the audience spell unbounded.  

"UTSAV" the  annual intra collegiate festival was held on the 16th and 17th of February met with much fervor and witnessed huge participation from students. Last year, it was held on 22nd and 23rd of February. This year saw BE Computers emerging victorious amidst tough competition from SE telecom .Different co-curriculum activities were planned, organized and executed by students themselves .It included folk dance, western dance competitions with duet and individual singing competitions and the popular one is  the “ANTAKSHARI”. Various other competitions like mehandi, drawing, collage making, painting, rangoli, best hand writing, acting, impromptu acting, street play were held.

Workshops on various topics were also organized:-

  • glass painting

These programmes helps the students to develop organizing skill, co-operation, co-ordination, and leadership quality in them.
