Admissions for the four-year
degree course in Bachelor of Engineering at V.E.S.I.T for all
disciplines are carried out every year around July-August by the
Directorate of Technical Education.

Admissions are given to residents of Maharashtra, who
have established domicle in the state. However, if seats remain
vacant, then in the latter rounds of admissions, students from other
states are offered admission on merit
basis.
The admission process
is controlled by the Govt. of Maharashtra & Directorate of
Technical Education, and is subject to regular revisions and
changes. Please refer to the latest updates from their publications
for updated information
The computerized admisssion process consists of a
series of rounds, held at V.J.T.I and Sardar Patel
C.O.E.
First
Round In this round, domicile
students of Maharashtra are admitted against 30% of the total number
of seats in all colleges of Maharashtra. These seats are meant for
the students seeking admission to specific courses in a specific
institutions on an All-Maharashtra Merit
Basis.

Second
Round In this round, domicile students of
Maharashtra state are admitted against the remaining 70% seats and
the vacant seats from the 30% quota (if any), on the University
Merit List of students belonging to the University only
Third
Round All the seats remaining vacant from all the
colleges and from all the Universities in Maharashtra at the Round 3
are offered to the candidates who could not secure any seat in Round
1 and not admitted to any college in Round 2 on the basis of
merit
Fourth
Round In this round, admissions are made against
vacant seats (if any) after completing all 3 rounds from the merit
list of students other than domicile of Maharashtra (from students
all over India)
Final
Round If the seats in any
colleges remain vacant, then the management of that institute is
authorized by the Government of Maharashtra to fill these vacant
seats independently. The interested candidates have to approach the
management on their own for admissions
NRI
Quota 5% of the sanctioned
intake in V.E.S.I.T is reserved for NRI students. Admissions for
these seats are made directly by the college. If you are eligible
for the NRI quota, you are advised to contact the college management
as early as May, to get further information about the admissions
procedure. |
